Mike Pearce is a husband, father, teacher, military veteran and entrepreneur. He not only believes in the principles of family, faith and freedom – he embodies them each and every day.
As a committed and loving husband and father, Mike Pearce knows that faith in God is the foundation of the family unit and that each and every human life is precious. Mike’s strong support of pro-life and pro-family issues was evident at an early age through his college leadership roles in the local chapters of Eagle Forum and Students for Life. Mike has been married to his high school sweetheart, Melanie, for over 17 years. They are the proud parents of 6 wonderful children: Arianna, Alexandra, Evan, Reganne, Jillian and Laura.
Mike Pearce taught in Bell County public schools for 10 years and received exemplary reviews for his innovative teaching methods from students, parents and administrators. By employing computer technology in the classroom, Pearce designed a series of creative computer presentations that captured the interest and attention of his students and drove them to want to learn more. As a result of his devotion to teaching, Pearce’s students broke academic achievement and test records.
As an entrepreneur, Pearce sought ways to take this teaching method and proven success story to a wider audience of students. He started a small business to sell his education curriculum to teachers everywhere and today, Pearce’s growing company sells to educators in 28 states. As the founder of an innovative educational consulting business, Mike Pearce understands the tough issues and the economic challenges that face our small business owners. He knows how bureaucratic regulations and a burdensome tax structure can strangle our economy and stifle business growth.
As a proud military veteran, Mike Pearce understands the sacrifice that our servicemen and women make every day to our country. He knows the challenges that confront the families of our soldiers deployed overseas as well as the difficulties facing many military retirees in Bell County. One day after graduating from High School, Mike Pearce reported to United States Marine Corps Boot Camp and served his country honorably until leaving the military to attend college. Mike’s wife is also a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Army while stationed at Fort Hood.
As a social and fiscal conservative, Mike Pearce has a strong record of service and active involvement in the Republican Party. He served as President of his local College Republicans chapter. After moving to Bell County, Pearce volunteered for numerous duties with the local Republican Party by serving as election judge, precinct chairman, and Republican Party delegate to the State Convention. Pearce also served as the volunteer coordinator for the Hugh Shine for Congress Campaign and is a guest host for Shine on the KTEM 1400 CenTex Today radio talk show. Pearce has been involved in Republican politics at the national level, having served as the Public Relations Coordinator for CATHOLICS AGAINST KERRY during the 2004 presidential campaign.
